Description
An original German clock movement marked D.R.G.M. indicating registration under the Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster system used from 1891 onwards.
Likely late 19th or early 20th century.
The movement includes:
The main clock mechanism
Original winding key
Brass pendulum
Subsidiary regulation dial
Brass backplate (removable cover)
The dial features Roman numerals with decorative red fleur-de-lis details and floral ornamentation to the centre.
The movement winds and parts turn freely, but it has not been tested and is sold as untested and in as-seen condition.
There is wear and surface oxidation to the movement, as expected for age.
No maker's name is visible, but the design and construction are typical of German manufacture from the period.
Condition: Untested.
Some tarnish, wear and age-related marks.
Please refer to the photos for details of condition.
