Description
A pair of small Japanese porcelain pot stands dating to the late 19th century Meiji period (c.1880–1900).
Each piece is hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a scrolling border around the top rim and simple brushwork to the sides.
The glaze has a slightly greyish tone, with minor firing speckling and imperfections typical of the period.
A central drainage hole indicates their original use as stands for small planters or cache pots.
The bases are unmarked, with unglazed foot rings.

Dimensions: 19 cm diameter, 3 cm high
Condition: Good overall; no cracks, chips or repairs.
Minor kiln blemishes as expected for age.
