A small late 19th to early 20th century Middle Eastern or Central Asian metal cosmetic box, of circular form, decorated with stamped geometric and foliate motifs and beaded borders.
The domed lid is mounted with an oval blue hardstone cabochon, likely lapis lazuli.
The box is constructed in base metal with traces of a silvered finish, now largely worn through with age.
The interior shows residual white mineral deposits, consistent with cosmetic or medicinal use.
