A rare and distinguished limited-edition crystal oil lamp designed and hand-cut by renowned Stourbridge glass artist R. Everton.
Signed and dated 2002, and etched No.1, this piece was the very first produced in an exclusive series—making it uniquely desirable for collectors of fine contemporary British glass.
The lamp features a rich amethyst overlay deeply wheel-cut in the traditional Stourbridge style with hobstars, cross-hatching, and stylised thistle motifs.
Both the font and matching shade display exceptional depth and clarity of cutting, echoing the best 19th-century tradition while standing as a statement of modern craftsmanship.
Mounted with a silver-plated duplex burner and original clear chimney, the lamp is supported by a heavy star-cut clear glass pedestal base.
The base is etched: R. Everton No.1 2002.
