A good quality late 19th-century brass oil lamp base fitted with an original “Duplex – Made in England” burner.
The lamp features a well-cast and finely detailed Corinthian-inspired column with fluted lower section and a domed base of good weight.
The mid-section is engraved with a geometric pattern typical of the Victorian aesthetic period.
Retains a warm aged patina throughout, with traces of old lacquer and minor surface wear consistent with age.
