Victorian Hinks & Son’s Patent Oil Lamp England, circa 1885 
A fine late 19th-century oil lamp by Hinks & Son’s of Birmingham, featuring a clear cut glass font with a starburst base and original brass duplex burner. 
The burner is stamped Hinks & Son’s Patent and fitted with twin wick controls, typical of the firm’s precision engineering. 
The glass font is of good weight and clarity, finely cut in a radiating pattern to the underside.

Condition: Good antique condition. 
Minor tarnish and wear to the brass consistent with age and use. 
No chips or cracks to the glass. 
A well-made and attractive Victorian lamp by one of England’s foremost oil-lamp manufacturers, suitable for display or restoration with shade and chimney.
