Early 20th Century Carved Walnut Cutlery Chest on Cabriole Legs
An attractive early 20th century cutlery chest, dating to circa 1930.
The piece is veneered in figured walnut, with a burr walnut top bordered by crossbanding.
The top edge is carved with a foliate motif, echoed in the carved detail to the shaped apron and the knees of the cabriole legs.
The chest has three graduated drawers, each fitted with gilt-metal swan neck handles and individual brass escutcheons (key not present).
Offered in sound structural condition.
Surface marks and wear consistent with age and use.
The drawers show signs of having been previously lined, with some wear and remnants visible to the interiors.
