The vase is of tapering trumpet form, blown in deep ruby glass with vertical ribbing, and enriched throughout with gold aventurine inclusions. The rim is scalloped and lightly dusted with aventurine, while one side is decorated with a bold applied clear glass trail incorporating gold flecking — a characteristic Murano decorative feature of the period.
