Edited by William D. Halsey with Louis Shores as Senior Library Advisor. Copyright dates range from 1967 through to 1978. This set comprises 9 volumes from the original 12: Volumes 1–6 and Volumes 10–12. Missing are Volumes 7, 8, and 9. Bound in green boards with gilt lettering to the spines. Illustrated throughout in black and white with photographs, maps, and diagrams. Dimensions: each volume approx. 22 x 28 cm. Condition: Wear and rubbing to bindings, some foxing and age-related staining to pages, and a noticeable musty/damp odour from previous storage. Usable as a reference or library set, and good hardback display books.
