Vintage Chinese Embroidered Silk Wall Hanging – Guanyin, 68 x 96 cm Striking vintage Chinese textile wall hanging, finely hand-embroidered with an image of Guanyin (the bodhisattva of compassion) standing on a lotus flower among stylised clouds. The figure is worked in silk and metallic threads on a deep burgundy velvet ground, framed by a richly embroidered floral border featuring lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, and foliage in vibrant colours. Accented with sequins and decorative stitching throughout. The backing is plain black fabric, showing age-related creasing and wear.
