Well made and notably heavy, these were expensive items when new and were produced for high-end interior and display use. Comprising: 46 unaffixed decorative book fronts 26 decorative book fronts mounted on metal display stands Approximately 25 additional loose metal stands 24 book-form storage boxes (including 4 with fitted fronts) 5 book units with black plastic backs (originally designed to function as book or video housings) 11 faux video cases Finished with hand-decorated simulated leather spines, gilt tooling and marbled paper sides, in a wide range of colours and styles. Condition: Largely good vintage condition overall, with some splits and general age-related wear present, particularly to some of the box-form examples, consistent with use and display. The book fronts are removable and offer considerable versatility, suitable for use on shelving, wall panelling, cabinetry or as decorative display elements, either on stands or installed elsewhere.
