Antique French 19th c. Serpentine Vernis Martin Display Cabinet 19th-century French serpentine display cabinet. The cabinet is crafted in a graceful serpentine form, with intricate gilt-bronze ormolu mounts accentuating the curved structure. A glazed serpentine form single door allows a clear view of the interior, while the lower section is adorned with three painted Vernis Martin panels, depicting pastoral scenes with delicate details and gilded borders. The interior is lined with original velvet, which has naturally aged over time but still offers an elegant display backdrop.
