Impressive Florentine Giltwood Rococo Revival Wall Mirror, Italy, Mid-20th Century Offered is an elegant Florentine giltwood wall mirror in the Rococo revival taste. Vintage, mid-20th century. Produced in Italy with a finely carved giltwood frame with an applied gold leaf finish. The frame is finely modelled and pierced, richly decorated with scrolling acanthus and foliate ornament, and surmounted by a shaped crest. Inset with an oval mirror plate. The whole is of impressive stature, with a pleasing and well-proportioned aesthetic. Dimensions: Height: 132 cm Width: 75 cm The mirror is offered in good vintage condition. The frame has a few minor, well-executed old repairs, and the gilding is good with a little aged wear.
