Description
A fine quality Victorian silver plated toast rack by the renowned firm Elkington & Co., dated 1853.
This highly ornate piece features six shaped divisions for toast, a decorative carrying handle, and stands elegantly on four finely cast feet.
The base is beautifully pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage and floral motifs.
Stamped with the Elkington hallmark, including the firm's crown and anchor emblem, and a date letter for 1853.
Dimensions: 20 cm long x 11 cm wide x 18 cm high
Condition: Good overall condition, with light wear and tarnish commensurate with age.
A charming and decorative example.
