Description

Fraternal Order Medal – Knights of Pythias (Possibly Golden Spur or Mystic Order Rank Badge)
This is a finely crafted fraternal order medal, likely associated with the Knights of Pythias or a similar chivalric or Masonic society.
The design elements suggest it may be linked to a high-ranking position or honorary distinction within the order.

Obverse: The medal features an intricate double interlocking Star of David design, overlaid with crossed arrows.
A red cord is threaded through part of the emblem, possibly signifying a specific rank or degree within the organisation.
The medal is gilt, with well-defined detailing.

Ribbon & Suspension: Suspended from a yellow and purple ribbon, which are colours often associated with regal or knightly fraternal orders.
Attached to a floral-engraved gilt pin-back clasp, allowing for easy attachment to regalia or formal attire.

Reverse: Smooth, with no inscriptions or hallmarks, but the cut-out design is visible.
Retains its original long pin fastening, typical of late 19th or early 20th-century regalia.

Possible Origins: The Knights of Pythias and other fraternal organisations used similar medals of distinction for members who achieved specific ranks or completed ceremonial rituals.
The yellow and purple ribbon aligns with the Golden Spur or Mystic Order of the Knights of Khorassan, an extension of the Knights of Pythias.
The crossed arrows and Star of David design may symbolise protection, unity, or enlightenment within the order.

Condition: Medal: Excellent condition with minimal wear.

Ribbon: Minor age-related fraying but structurally intact.

Pin-back fastener: Fully functional.
