Cased Solid Silver Dessert Cutlery Set – Sheffield 1914 by Thomas Bradbury & Sons A boxed twelve-piece solid silver dessert service, comprising six forks and six knives, each piece hallmarked for Thomas Bradbury & Sons, Sheffield, 1914. The handles are of solid sterling silver, all fully hallmarked with clear and matching stamps. The blades and tines are steel, as standard for cutlery of this period. Presented in its original red leatherette case with cream velvet and silk interior. Condition: The cutlery remains in good antique condition, with some surface marks and tarnish consistent with age and use. One or two joints show minor staining. The case shows rubbing and wear to the outer covering and light discolouration to the lining, but is structurally sound and closes well.
