Large Coalport Porcelain Shell Form Sweet Dish c.1890 A fine quality late 19th century Coalport porcelain sweet dish, modelled in the form of a naturalistic scallop shell. The white glazed body is crisply moulded with deeply ruffled edges and a coiled base, standing on a textured foot. Marked to the underside with the green printed Coalport factory stamp ‘COALPORT ENGLAND A.D. 1750’, in use from the 1880s. In good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Light age-related surface craquelure present. A striking decorative piece with strong detail and presence. Measures 23 cm length × 14 cm width × 13 cm height
