Description

Antique Chinese Cloisonné Bronze Censer, c.1890 An attractive antique Chinese bronze cloisonné tripod censer, dating from the late Qing Dynasty, circa 1890. This censer is finely crafted in bronze and features cloisonné enamel decoration with stylised geometric scrolls and motifs in rich hues of turquoise, cobalt-blue, subtle greens, and touches of yellow. The vessel stands upon three elegant tapered feet and has lion-mask handles, one retaining its original bronze ring handle. The domed, pierced cover is original but missing its central finial. The piece displays an appealing aged patina and surface oxidation consistent with age and genuine use, with minor enamel wear adding character. A desirable example of antique Chinese cloisonné metalwork, ideal for collectors of Asian decorative antiques. Dimensions: Height: 16.5 cm Width: 16 cm Depth: 14 cm Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear and surface oxidation. One side missing handle ring; lid missing original finial. Minor enamel loss consistent with age. (Please refer to detailed photographs.)
