Antique Japanese Bronze Turtle c.1900 A well-cast antique Japanese bronze turtle, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Finely detailed with concentric ring patterns and stylised floral decoration to the shell, the body cast with characterful features and naturalistic modelling. The bronze has developed a fine dark patina with areas of verdigris and light rubbing to the high points, consistent with age. The piece measures 13 cm long x 10 cm wide x 4 cm high. In good antique condition throughout. A charming decorative item with a good surface, from the estate of a collector of Oriental antiques.
