Fine Porcelain Italian Porcelain Carriage Group by Luigi Fabris, c.1950s A finely modelled and richly decorated Italian porcelain figural group by Luigi Fabris of Bassano del Grappa (formerly Milan), dating to the mid-20th century. The piece depicts an ornate Rococo-style state carriage drawn by a pair of white horses, with a coachman seated at the front and a noblewoman visible inside. The carriage is embellished with gilt and polychrome painted panels, intricate floral encrustation to the base, and applied gilt highlights throughout. The reins are present (one detached), and the composition displays strong colour and fine detail. Signed to the underside in red script L. Fabris with model number 403. Condition: Overall good decorative condition. Minor old repair to one carriage finial, a few small flower losses as expected for such delicate work, and one rein detached.
