Description

Large 19th-century Staffordshire ironstone jug in the “Tulip” pattern, standing approximately 41 cm high. Octagonal in form with a moulded handle and shaped rim, decorated with transfer-printed foliage and hand-tinted botanical detail, finished with touches of gilding. The printed T. J. & J. Mayer – Tulip mark to the base indicates production in the mid-19th century, c. 1845–1860. The jug shows light age-related wear, including surface crazing and minor rubbing to the gilding, but no obvious structural damage. A decorative Victorian piece with good presence. Height: 41 cm Marked: T. J. & J. Mayer, Tulip pattern Condition: Age-related crazing and light wear
