Antique Hamilton Half Hunter Pocket Watch – 17 Jewels, c.1925 An early 20th-century half hunter pocket watch by the Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. The white enamel dial with black Roman numerals has a recessed seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands, all visible through the glazed aperture of the hinged front cover. The dial is signed Hamilton. The manually wound 17-jewel movement is signed Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, PA and numbered 1856038, dating the watch to circa 1925. The movement is in good clean order and runs when wound, though it has not been tested for timekeeping. The gold-coloured case is stamped Hamilton Watch Co., Guaranteed 25 Years and numbered 10632601, confirming it as a quality gold-filled case rather than solid gold. The case opens and closes neatly and shows only light wear in keeping with age, with no dents or losses. The watch retains its original high-domed crystal and is offered with an old felt pouch, likely of the period.
