Antique Brass Oil Lamp, c.1900
A late Victorian to early Edwardian brass oil lamp, circa 1900, of fluted and gadrooned design.
The lamp features a circular reeded column rising to a moulded reservoir and domed burner gallery with decorative crown piercings.
The twin toothed wheels for wick adjustment are present but corroded.
The lamp stands on a dark glazed pottery base, now broken and incomplete, secured by a threaded brass rod visible underneath.
The design and materials are typical of English domestic oil lamps of the period.
Condition: Aged patina and oxidation throughout, with some dents and minor distortion to the brass.
The pottery base is broken and partly missing, as shown.
Burner mechanism untested.
