Description
An antique English ceramic bowl, dating to the early 19th century, decorated with a brown transfer-printed design featuring stylised flowers and birds, with hand-applied blue, red, and gilt detailing.
A repeating border motif runs around the rim, with light wear to the gilding.
The surface shows uniform crazing to the glaze, typical of ceramics from this period.
The bowl is unmarked to the base but is consistent in style and technique with early 19th-century Staffordshire or Yorkshire wares.
Measurements: Approx. 14 cm diameter × 8.5 cm high
Condition: Good antique condition overall.
Crazing throughout, with some age-related discolouration and minor glaze blemishes.
Small chips to the inner and outer rim, visible in photographs.
No structural cracks or repairs.
A well-preserved example of early transferware with decorative appeal.
